Challenge #1: Keep it smooth. Song requirements:
  • involve sailing
  • include all the percussion you could fit on the boat
  • be incredibly smooth.

Tasty Salmon by Evan Kirkley

"This song was inspired by a well spent summer weekend back when I was eight years old."

Doesn't Get Any Smoother Than This by Mike Kugler

Sail Away by Rory Lucey

"No one loves smooth music as much as the Lucey family and with Ferbuary being such a trying month, a little smooth can make a lot of things easier. Also, my attempts at a Michael McDonald vocal made me sound like a super smooth Gene Ween. Awesome."

Port La Nouvelle by Robert West

Smooth Sailing Smooth by Aidan Lucey

"I was busy working on the website this week, so I didn't get a lot of time to work on the song. I tried to boil it down to the essence of Yacht Rock. I hope it worked."

Good job crew. Michael would be proud. In fact, he may be proud right now, depending on whether he's dead or not.

Rory, you get my vote. Is this a contest? Whatever. You still smoothed it out.

I wrote a song, but I wasn't able to record it. Oh well, it wasn't that smooth anyway.

The songs are all smooth, I like them. I especially like Aidan's song, it's straight to the point.
