Challenge #2: van Halentine's day. Song requirements:
  • must BE ABOUT ROCK AND/OR ROCKING
  • AWESOME VOCALS (HAGAR OR ROTH, NO CHERONE)
  • WICKED GOOD INSTRUMENTAL SOLO.

A Question Of Rock by Aidan Lucey

"Solos are hard when you don't play in instrument. And songs are hard when you wait til the last minute. Put those things together, and somehow you get rock perfection. Weird, huh?"

Rock and Roll Me Over by Rory Lucey

"In this song I tried to include as many things as I could that I love about rock music. The ballad-y intro, totally rad drumming, that stadium clomp (which is hard to pull off on your own), and especially lyrics about being on the road. Nothing signifies hard-rocking more than the song of the road warrior and I wanted this to be like that. It took a while to get it right but I think this song does it right, even if I couldn't do Hagar vocals for it."

Van Halentines by The Sugargliders

"This song isn't quite as rock as we had originally planned on, but it came from the heart - and that's where it counts the most. Plus our guitar solo is clearly WAY better than Robert's (pssshhhh). "

Oh. um.
I thought the whole challenge with the Van Halentines was to get wasted and get as many girls phone numbers as possible. And who ever had either the biggest beer gut or the most amount of phone numbers would win.

I AM A DAMN FOOL.
