rory- everything she says- "i tried to get this song to sound like 'destination diamond' by diamond nights. i spent 6 or 7 hours on it, and it just ended up sounding like me. what a shame." rory turned his song in two minutes late. 1 demerit.
aidan- frozen picket fences- "yesterday was swisher's birthday, so i wrote a depressing birthday song. chris, this one's for you and me. but mostly you. also, if you listen in the background, ice-t gets shot. this song's for him too."
chris- save & quit- "i wasn't really feeling much tonight in terms of cool tracks, so i just pulled this thing out of the vault. the title comes from the fact that charlie was playing super mario all-stars at the time."
jon- ehh... we're students- "this song is dedicated to tj mcevoy and the hchchc. we havent tried to break in to the stevens institute yet but when we do... we'll use this excuse to get out of trouble. written on the train to hoboken."
trevor-slow vacancy- "blurbs are for losers." oh yeah? so are demerits. 5,000,000 demerits tough guy. now who's the loser?
raison- nemo's jam- " I hit the riff on the guitar randomly and it started it. After a while for some reason, it made me think of this old NES game called "Little Nemo." Hence... "Nemo's Jam" Bass line was fun to write for this one too. hehehehe"
Chris, your song reminds me of juno's 'up through the night', which might be the best song ever, so good work on that. Also, gentlemen, we crossed the 3 hour mark today. congratulations.
Guys, you've really outdone yourself today. Raison, I still worship/hate. Trevor, I don't know who you are, either, but damn, boy - strong work. Your stuff is versitile but always solid, and Slow Vacancy is whole new kind of awesome-ness. Ditto to Chris, and if i had any say in things (which I don't) I'd give bonus points for the best title of the day. Jon, you rock. Really. Rock. Rory, you sound great in this, the drums at the end are a nice touch, and your lyrics, per usual, are fantastic. As are Aidan's. Who else could get so much creative mileage out of facial hair? Though I must say, Aidan, you've come a long way from "My Beard" ... not that "My Beard" isn't a kickin' tune... it's just that you've gone from being talented to being really *good* at this. Congrats, all.

I think your effort was worth it Rory. I can hear the time you put into it in it's structure and the little flourishes you've added with your voice/instrumentation.
I like your guitar work today Chris. Especially the chord progression and the harmonies you're getting out of the guitar parts.
I like your song a lot today also trev. You did a good job mixing the bass with the filtered piano. I also like the loop you're using, fits really well. Very good job layering as always. Real solid. We gotta get you a good mic and preamp/interface. :)
