rory- Summer 03 (chris swisher cover)- "my favorite song of this week, 'summer '03,' was a killer song. just beautiful. i hope my cover preserves the spirit of the original, while still being cool in and of itself. i like it... so that's a start"
aidan- DDS (Live)- "this is a crowd favorite in honor of our inept service provider and unpredictable website. also, check out phil's drawing daily."
chris and jon- The Big Coney - " Can you dig it?!"
chris and jon- Warriors vs. orphans- "You see what you get when you mess with The Orphans?!?!?!?!?!?"
trevor- Dead On Arrival- "Blurb? This is no blurb." Trevor sent his song at 11:53 CST, but it was received at 12:01. for this, trevor gets one demerit.
raison- Feel- Raison sings on this track, which may not happen again, so enjoy it while it lasts.

For 28 days of rock, I just want to say, "Than you".

Aww! Poor Trev! You sounded so frustrated in this song! But rest assured, I love it! (When do I not)? It's so frank and defeated---a new side to your music. You all did another stellar job! It sounds like the challenge is really taking toll on you all, but you're still making it work! Great job :) (P.S.--Raison gets bonus points with me for using a mandolin-sound, which is one intruments that breaks my heart yet makes me smile. It's one instrument that is way too often overlooked!)

I haven't used a mandolin in a song in a long time and I thought it woudl fit. I love that you noticed it and commented on it Amy.

lol, You should send this to your host Aidan!

hehehe, I like it trevor. Always gotta dig lyrics about not having lyrics for the song. ;)

Ooo... Nice guitar solo man. lol... another website reference. And thank you for not douibling your lead vocals! Finally! You lose so much character and nuances to your voice that I think sound awesome when you double your vocals.

Keep the ideas flowin guys, pressure's on! I know I'm feeling it.

Rory! Holy shit, man, that's awesome. I'm so flattered. Your version sounds seriously rad.

Kickin trax from everyone today, really. Are you guys as much into The Warriors as Jon and I are? We're way into it.

Hey all,

As usual, strong entries from all involved.

Rory - you clever little bastard, covering one of the other entries instead of going with something mainstream. And the fact that it sounds fantastic; mellow, less-scratchy... one of my favourites.

Aidan - cleverness runs in the family, it seems. Loved the reading of all the bullshit stuff ISPs spit at you when you try and complain (the live audience was a nice touch). Reminds me of "Message 419" by MC Frontalot. Kudos.

Chris and Jon - coney Island is a scary, scary place, and the warriors are the shit. Word.

Trevor - I'm totally with Raison here. Your voice unlayered is as powerful as when there's a dozen yous harmonising. Great song, man. Catchy tune, good guitar and beats, I like the expletives thrown in. Rock on, man.

Raison - Amy's right. The mandolin's an instrument you don't hear often these days, but you use it well here. Now bring back your banjo, too! The vocals are a mixed bag; sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I'll take the Raison vox where I can get it though, be it The Box or here.

for 28 Days of Rock, i just want to say: damn you. Thanks to you, I have the "FIFTH of the month of FEBruary" in my head 24/7. Not to mention Aidan's falsetto. Must your songs be so clever and gosh darn catchy t'boot?

Just when i thought it couldn't get better than yesterday's batch, there was Dead On Arrival. Beautiful.

And raison, you don't know me, but I worship you. Or maybe I just hate you - everybody else does. You must cheat.
