rory- See Me Bleed- "something simple written for Catherine."
aidan- off-and-onniversary- "it's strange that a public-ish forum like this helps me write stuff that's kind of personal, but whatever. i can always pretend it's based on an episode of 'my so-called life'"
chris- The National religion- "This song speaks for itself, I think. I anticipate an angry backlash.."
jon- Olive Garden- "This is partially a cover (music) and partially a dumb inside joke
(lyrics)" jon's email was received at 11:59:09. if jon wants demerits, he only has to ask.
trevor- eagles- Trevor wrote a blurb that is now, sadly, irrelevant. A quick reminder: Patriots: x eagles: x-3. if you have any problems, talk to swisher.
raison- Muse- "I decided to go with a soft and slow piano song today. Slow down
the pace a little bit".
people will ask who won today, and most people will say, "the pats." i say, "no, rock won today." another day of pushing the boundaries of awesome. aid, the song is so great. sweet guitar flashes and a gorgeous finish. super. jon, this is hilarious. some great echo and i love the part after the first line after the chorus where you can hear "oil" and "pasta" at the same time. it gets me every time. chris, brilliant stuff. you are becoming our billy bragg-style troubadour even if you don't mean for it to happen. raison, lovely mellow stuff. as god says at the end of the film '24 hour party people,' "it's good chill-out music." trevor, i'm sorry about your loss, although your song did sort of freak me out. i love this site. i love rock. hooray for us.
wow. just-- you know... you guys are-- i can't...
wow.
aidan... don't make me repeat myself.
rory... your stuff gets better every time. i mean that.
jon... i now hate you as i hate raison.
swish... heartfelt, i like that. oh, and... they lost. back to church.
raison... there will come a time (next week)... that i will cover this one.

That was a fun rendition Trevor. At least they made it a game right? ...and Pinkston kind of did fly for a lot of those catches.

I'm sorry I am commenting twice but that off and onniversary was fantastic. It had a little Ben Folds type of sound. It was very touching.

Yay! Another awesome day!! "Off-and-onniversary" is incredible. I was all set to be amused again, but I was pleasantly surprised, even though the song is heartbreaking. It's haunting, and the guitar is fantastic. Excellent work.
Trev, your rendition of the Eagles' fight song is wonderful. It has the now-necessary twinge of sadness, and it is SO much more aurally pleasing than the ever-obnoxious original version. Well done, Baby!
The rest of you---please don't feel slighted b/c I'm not singling you all out individually; your work is no less unbelievable (I just realized I'm out of time to type b/c I'm late getting to work!) Keep it up! I promise to work on finishing that article soon!

Aidan, this song is awesome man. I'm really digging it. Nice U2 style guitar, I have a friend who would absolutely love this song.
lol, I liked the song about olive garden Jon.
A truly original cover of the eagles fight song Trev :)
I know a guy who feels the same way you do Chris. hehe
btw, if you guys are ever in the area again and you'd like to record some studio quality versions of your favorite songs feel free to hit me up.

Holy crap-hole... Hearing things that the Lucey brothers do makes me want to: (multiple choice)
A) Cry
B) Leave work early every day and start recording
C) Get an acoustic guitar
D) All of the above
