rory- Where Will We Find Home- "here's something peaceful, like the eye of the tornado. it feels very british to me. i see me singing it on the cliffs of dover, in a parka, with stephen street in tow."
aidan- watch to see what i can still do- "I really hate this song. a lot. but it makes a little more sense when you read this. it's not any better, but it makes more sense."
chris- he wants his buddy icon back- "this is a response to jon's "i want my buddy icon back." or maybe it's a prequel. it's another side of the story, anyway. the structure of this song is really weird. too weird? you decide!"
jon- b-wing basement- "This is a tribute to the Radnor
High School TV studio, may it rest in peace."
trevor-ship jumping- this song came in an hour late. trevor's excuse: "I was, like, uh, busy. Yep." seriously. if a demerit was worth $10, trevor would just have earned $3000. that's right: 300 demerits
raison- groovin- "I just liked writing the bass line for this one. hehe."
aidan, i don't care what you say, that song is hilarious. that girl voice you do will always make me laugh. very ween. chris, impeccable timing and some nice quotation. weird, but believably weird, if that at all makes sense. jon, it's so different from your songs at the start, but still the definition of awesome. also, found sound in songs rules. raison, i agree. Pretty groovin'. those guitar parts are pretty slick. trevor, you're straight illin'. rock.
Jon, TOTALLY mid-eighties-style Blitz. Solar!

Oh, lordy... Aidan. You have outdone yourself today, buddy. I read the blurb about your song before I left for work and didn't have time to download the song... regardless, I was laughing all the way to work, just having read that phrase. Now I'm at work and I just played the actual song. Holy moly. I'll be losing it all day long. Just thinking that to yourself is funny... but Rory is right... the "lady voice" that you use is a timeless classic.

The buddy icon songs are a pair of sweet jams. Yeah!

WOW!! Trev, your Fiona Apple-esque piece is one I wish I wrote myself. AWESOME! It's also so different from your usual style. Amazing :)
Rory-- Very British, indeed, even a little on the Cold Play side. And that's an awesome thing :)
Aidan-- VERY much a Beatles song! It's so much fun!! :) I love that you can make me laugh and still have such a great melody to carry your music.
Chris--again, you're incredible.
Jon, I love the guitar and the mood that this song has. It sounds like my own high school days (daze?)
Raison-- good to have you back on board! ;) I like this song a lot (I'm running out of ways to compliment everyone!) It's relaxing, deep, and sultry. My kinda jam!

aidan, i was going to make a post that was from the cape coral woman, but then i decided that that would just really not funny and sick. so instead, i'm just telling you about it. your song is twisted fun from beginning to end.
jon, can i have a signed copy of your album when all is said and done? for free?
rory, i see you singing on the cliffs, too. i think. just like apple, you surprise and delight.
swish, i miss you. in a very cool, non-sexual way. good stuff.
raison, sultry is a good word for your song. wicked bass line, bro.
the clear winner today, though, is me. i am unphased in this endeavor as i amass hundreds upon hundreds of demerits. just wait until tomorrow, everyone.

do not smirk at demerits, trevor, or you will get more demerits.
Posted by: Rory on February 9, 2005 02:53 PM
Disparaging demerits is a dermeritable offense!
Posted by: Swisher on February 9, 2005 03:41 PM
there's no smirkation or disparagationalism regarding my demerits at all. rather, i wear them proudly; battle scars, kind of. but not really.
Posted by: trevor on February 9, 2005 05:59 PM
i guess trevor enjoys keeping me up until the wee hours. or he is unaware of time zones. proud? be proud of 2000 new demerits. keep digging that hole algatt...

I own trevor with my 2 and a 1/2. :P

Hey Jon,
I love the 80's feel to this one. I love that I kinda know what you're singing about too from the videos I used to see on the Radnor channel. I'm assuming you're singing about that?
I loved your song too Chris. hahaha I like the structure of the song. I think it works well.
Love this one too trev. I like the different style singing and the bluesy/pop feel to it. I can't think of the name of the artist it makes me think of... Or the name of teh song they wrote... so I'm gonna stop trying to remember. Can't wait till we get a chance to record again bro. lol... just heard the song end. Love it dude.
lol... Aidan wins! He used a TUBA!!!!! Wow... this is TOTALLY Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... lol... And... twisted... LOL... I just can't get over the part that makes me think of the Oompa Loompa song.
Rory, very solid as always!
